Safer
Celebrations - Drug & Alcohol Services SA,
together with South Australia Police and the Office of the Liquor
& Gambling Commissioner, reminds South Australians about the harms
associated with excessive alcohol consumption during the Christmas
- New Year period.
While many people drink alcohol responsibly, the cost to
individuals and the community from excessive alcohol consumption
is enormous. There are many things we can do to help ensure that
our end of year parties and celebrations are safer and more
enjoyable. A range of resources that provide good tips on hosting
parties, laws around supplying alcohol and responsible drinking
are available free of charge by calling the Alcohol and Drug
Information Service on 1300 13 1340 or logging on
to
www.alcohol.sa.gov.au to
download the Safer Celebrations Fact Sheets.
