Hit the right note The outcry following reviews for funding to the Education Department’s music and sport programs has apparently prompted the department to undertake a community consultation process. Member for Flinders Liz Penfold urged everyone interested in the music and aquatics programs to have a say on the DECS website www.decssurveys.sa.edu.au/online “The funding cuts affect country people far more than those in the metropolitan area who have alternatives to the programs offered through schools,” she said. “It is important to have your say because this is a positive way in which each of us can affect the quality of education in our local schools.” Surveys are due by Wednesday 28th February.
